Accept your past, plan your future, but live in the present

I got you right on this. It is indeed a big problem how each of us treat life as a race, always focusing on “What’s next?”. This is due to our need to always control and know everything. My mind is focused on constantly doing as well, but my story is a little different:

One day, I was taking my usual morning shower. Just when I was getting out of the shower, I almost slept and could have broken something; it could have changed my life forever.

Another day , I was hurrying to go to work and my mind kept repeating: “You have to get to work! You have to get to work!”. On my way to work, a car nearly hit me.

My point is that our life is limited. Every morning, I ask myself a question of Steve Jobs:

If today were the last day of your life, would you want to do what you are about to do today?

It is important to have a plan with you life, a map that will guide you and give you momentum, but it is also important to focus on the current step and not rush with the second step; it is important to pay attention to what happens now and where you are now, or else something may hit you — a car maybe.

Thank you for this article! Everybody needs to read it and reflect on it! God bless you!
